Adult learn to Sail course - RYA Level 1
Learning in a dinghy is a great way to start sailing. This is an introduction to sailing dinghies for complete beginners, covering everything you need to know to get afloat under supervision. The course fee covers the course tuition and club membership for the duration of the course. All course participants will be eligible for a discount of 50% on annual club membership for 2024-25. Please note this discounted membership offer is only available for 1 month following completion of the course.
Required experience: None
Minimum duration: 2 days (attendance is required on both days)
Minimum age: 16 and above. We offer a Junior Learn to Sail course for under 16's
Content: How to sail in all directions, including an awareness of launching and recovering
Certificate issuing criteria: Able to sail in light winds under supervision
Format: Afloat
Cost: £180 (non-members) £160 (Members)
All participants will be eligible for a 50% reduction on annual membership fees if you join within 30 days of completing the course
