Training
It doesn't matter if you're new to sailing or already an established sailor looking to improve your skills, at Paignton Sailing Club we have a course for you!
We offer a wide range of RYA courses led by a team of qualified instructors and can deliver:
- Youth Training Stages 1-4 (age 8 to 16)
- Adult Learn to Sail Level 1-3
- Racing and Performance sailing
- Powerboat Training Level 1 & 2
- Safety Boat Training.
- Assistant Instructor and instructor courses
We have a wide range of club owned sailing dinghies suitable for all and a number of powerboats.
In addition to sailing and powerboat courses, the club can arrange First Aid, Short Wave Radio (VHF), Racing Coach, Race Officer Training and Mark Laying courses, on request, at very reasonable prices.
Paignton Sailing Club is affiliated with the Royal Yachting Association and has been accredited with Recognised Training Centre status. As such, the venue is inspected annually to confirm that Paignton Sailing Club complies with the required standards of safety and teaching.

HOW TO BOOK
Non-members will first need to create an account with the club. For all courses, the contact must be an adult (parent or guardian). You can then either select the course for 'myself' or 'other'. Details of the person participating in the course must be entered at that point. Note that the course fee includes full membership for the participant and, in the case of junior courses, Associate membership for the adult contact until the following March 31st. Members should select a course from the list below. You may book a course for 'myself' or 'other'. Please ensure full details of the participant are completed on the form. Discounted prices for members apply.
